Janitor and Candy beat GoLove on price, and I won't pretend otherwise. But the media rows are the ones that decide this keyword, and that's where GoLove pulls ahead. You don't even have to build anything to check. Explore lets you open a chat with a finished character right now and see whether her look holds up before you commit to a build.
GoLove.ai: Design with AI and the Create Wizard
GoLove gives you two ways to build her, plus a shortcut if you'd rather not build at all:
- Design with AI: describe her in plain text, up to 2,000 characters. About a minute later you have a named character with her own @handle, a written bio and a portrait. That runs around 3 Stars per build, as observed.
- Create wizard: pick Realistic, Anime or Trans and click through the steps. If you'd rather click than write, start here.
- Pick a finished character: open anyone from Explore and start chatting, then generate photos and video with her the same way.
New characters are Private by default. Make one public through My AI and she can earn you Stars when other people chat with her. It's a small creator angle, and we couldn't confirm anything similar on the classic builders.
Do I need reference photos? No. You build her with the wizard or a text description, then generate her photos and clips in the chat. Keep her a fictional character, and never model her on a real person without their consent.
Candy AI and Kupid AI: The Classic Builder
Credit where it's due. Candy's appearance-and-personality builder is deep, and Kupid's covers the same ground. If you like picking traits one at a time, that's a genuinely good way to work. Candy's free tier even lets you make one custom character before you pay a cent.
GoLove.ai: Lust Level, Response Length and Voice
This is the part I care about most, because a girlfriend you can't adjust gets stale fast. We couldn't confirm post-setup tuning on the other three. You might ask: doesn't Janitor give you more control than a few sliders? For text, fair enough, it does. Its character definitions go very deep, and you can connect your own OpenAI or OpenRouter key if you want a stronger model behind the replies. If you write long lore documents, Janitor is the better fit. What GoLove adds is that the same tuning applies to a character you can also see.
GoLove.ai: Same Face From Chat Photo to Clip
Say you've built her. Open her chat, tap the media button, choose Send Photo and describe the scene in your own words. A photo arrives in about 20–45 seconds, for 1 Star, with the same face and body as her avatar and earlier photos. That's the whole promise of customization, delivered. Under that photo, tap Generate Video and you get a ~5-second clip of the same scene in about a minute, for 10 Stars. There's also the Video Note, a round talking clip with sound.
